About Us¶
Mission Statement¶
Our mission is developing information security professionals while developing information security software. Our community project is an open source Security Information Management system.
Simply Secure¶
For those who equate open source with increased support costs, SimWitty will be a pleasant surprise. It is simple to install and use. An evaluation virtual appliance is available, which contains a complete ready-to-run SimWitty server.
SimWitty runs on the Microsoft platform. It installs on Windows Server and stores data on SQL Server. SQL Server also provides the data mining and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) provides the reports. Development work is done using C# with Visual Studio, on the .Net Framework. It integrates with network devices and *nix systems for holistic management.
Community Spirit¶
SimWitty is a mentoring community, a can-do community, a bootstrapping community. We have heard, time and again, that people want to work on an open source project but are unsure of how to start. We are here to help people get started, get involved, and get experience. See this page to find out to Contribute.
